India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with U.S. intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbardin New Delhi to discuss ways to enhance defence cooperation between India and the United States. The meeting focused on intelligence sharing, advanced defence technology, and security collaboration to strengthen strategic ties between the two nations.
Key Discussions on Defence and Security
During their meeting, both leaders emphasized joint efforts in defence technology, intelligence sharing, and military collaboration. They discussed the importance of integrating defence industrial supply chains to boost innovation and resilience.
Singh also raised concerns about the Khalistani separatist group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), urging the U.S. to designate it as a terrorist organization. He highlighted SFJ’s alleged links with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Babbar Khalsa, a militant group.
Expanding Strategic Partnership
Apart from Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval also met with Gabbard to discuss ways to strengthen intelligence sharing and security cooperation. Gabbard’s visit included participation in a global intelligence chiefs’ conclave, hosted by India, focusing on international security challenges.
