FM Nirmala Sitharaman to Launch ‘NITI NCAER States Economic Forum’ Portal on April 1

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will launch the NITI NCAER States Economic Forum portal on April 1, 2025. The digital platform, developed by NITI Aayog and the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), aims to provide a comprehensive database of India’s state-level economic, fiscal, and social indicators.

The portal will serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, researchers, and the public by offering detailed reports on the financial performance of all 28 states in India. The database will cover crucial economic trends from the financial years 1990-91 to 2022-23, making it one of the most extensive collections of state-level data available online.

By consolidating historical and current data on economic growth, fiscal health, and social development, the ‘NITI NCAER States Economic Forum’ will help improve decision-making at both the central and state levels. Users will be able to access state-wise reports that include demographic details, economic structures, and performance analysis, making it easier to track long-term trends.

This initiative aligns with the government’s goal of fostering cooperative federalism and improving transparency in economic planning. The portal will also feature research papers, analytical reports, and expert insights to help stakeholders understand the financial and developmental landscape of each state.

With the launch of this portal, India takes a step forward in digital governance by making critical economic data easily accessible. The ‘NITI NCAER States Economic Forum’ is expected to become a key tool in shaping policies for sustainable growth across Indian states.
